My reaction:
With the help of the Internet, we can communicate with people all over the world no matter how far the distance is. Though I haven’t used Facebook before, I know exactly the function of Facebook after reading the article. Because as a college student, what we often do in the dormitory is chatting with friends on Msn. Facebook as well as Msn are similar. Both of them have an access to interact with people not by face to face but by the screen. It’s a very convenient way to make friends and to keep users connecting no matter their geographical changes.
In my opinion, however, there are still some flaw of Facebook. For example, some users may isolate themselves from the reality world. Though they can communicate with people well on the Net, they don’t know how to interact with people face to face. Besides, someone with bad intention may cheat others because we don’t know exactly about the people we recognize on the Net. It’s necessary to be aware of these people. Nevertheless, Facebook still plays a role in people’s life. It’s a really various way to entertain ourselves by making friends, sharing photos, or obtaining information. My reaction:
I like to tell a joke. It is said that if I lived in the Muslim world, I will be the beautiful one. That’s because women in the Muslim world wear veils to cover themselves except their eyes. It’s just kidding. I think the quiet revolution started by Dalia Ziada is a very good campaign not only for her country but for the people suffer from the conservative tradition. All of us know that women in the Muslim world have many restrictions. Though those restrictions are their tradition, there are many ways should change.
I really appreciate Dalia Ziada’s courage. She is brave enough to fight for women rights against the conservative society. No matter the result is, it’s a good opportunity to change the unfair truth. Following the nowadays trend is necessary as well. I think all women in the Muslim world should support the revolution bravely. It’s the right time for them to have a better life. They should not under so many restrictions. I really hope they can work hard together and expect their bright future. (201words

A Web Awash in Liquor Ads, Promoting Moderation

My reacion:
Drinking wine, it has been an indispensable custom of many cultures from the past to modern life. In the ancient China, people wouldn’t write poems without wine. All the celebrations need wine, like the present life as well. When feeling upset or stressful, many people drink wine as a comfort. The effect of the alcohol makes them forget the unhappiness in a short time. Therefore, wine plays an important part in our lives. However, drinking too much is bad for the health. Drinking a lot of wine gives rise to liver cancer or yellow teeth. What’s more, the effect of the alcohol makes one’s mind unclear, causing a lot of problems to the society. For example, there are more and more car accidents happened because of driving while intoxicated. Besides, some drank people may fight each other unconsciously.

So, should we inhibit people from drinking wine totally? It’s hard to enforce of course. In my opinion, the campaigns and activities raised by some organizations, persuading people to drink beverages in moderation are positive to the society. They suggest that you can drink but drink in moderation. With the advice from the ads they made, we can not only enjoy the delicious wine but also warn ourselves not to drink too much. My Reaction:

Living in Kaohsiung for so many years, I really feel the problem of air pollution is serious. For example, there are few people going out without a mask in Kaohsiung. And also it is really hard to see star in the sky at night because of the air pollution. When I raise my head, wanting to see the clear blue of the sky, it is usually in vain. Therefore, I think the set of the new air monitoring station is not only measure for the air pollution but also good for the environment.
However, all of us should pay attention on the serious problem not only the machine. With the high and various technology, we can do things more convenient and easier. But, there are more and more pollution we made because that we produce too much. What’s worse, we just destroyed our environment day by day. Though we can’t live without the high and various technology now, we should not forget the bad effect we have done to the earth. Therefore, the environmental protection can not be emphasized more. It is really a vital issue that every one of us should care more.(201words)

My Reaction:
“You better watch out , you better not cry ~ ” Santa Clause is coming to town ! The cheerful melody is around the streets , telling everyone the pleasant season is coming soon. People decorated there houses with beautiful Christmas tree and shining light . Besides, they write cards to their friends or their love. Children look forward to Santa Clause’s gifts. Most of us like Christmas ,which brings us happiness with friends and family in the end of the year . However, not everyone in the world can enjoy the happy atmosphere as well . Many people still suffer from poverty or starvation .There is no doubt that celebrating Christmas is impossible to them.

I think the activity is very friendly and beneficial. It can not only get people together but also remind us of sharing warmth to those in misfortune . It is good to celebrate Christmas and do the charity at the same time . I think that people will pay more attention on them . Besides, we should feel content about what we have. However, they should be cared not just on special days . It’s necessary to care and help them as often as you can. Making them feel every day is happy Christmas! (210words)

My Reaction:

The movie "Cape No. 7", which has broke the record amazingly . It has become the hightest selling Chinese-language in Taiwanese movie history. There is a great mass great mass fervor during this time . Almost everyone in Taiwan has seen the movie . Besides, the movie is in theaters now in almost three months . This is really a miracle to Taiwanese movie because before "Cape No. 7" the Taiwanese movies are unexpected to Taiwanese people . However, "Cape No. 7" made the surprising record and everyone who has seen the movie is impressed by that very much . After watching the film, I was touched by the story and the beautiful music . As a Taiwanese , I am really proud of the movie .

Therefore , I think such a good movie is need to be shared to the world, impressing more people . The movie is not only regarding love and music but also mentioning dream, encouraging people to spare no effort to realize it .Such a positive movie should not be interpreted politically. China’s attitude to the movie is so limited and not considerate . They delay its release on the mainland just because the anti-Japan sentiments . I think their attitude should be wider and not just live in the bias . Also, the film gives the chance to China people to know more about Taiwan . They surely can find out the passion of Taiwanese people in the movie . (247words)

My Reaction:

As a resident of Taiwan , we all know that the unemployment rate is increasing recently . There are more and more people unemployed under the recession of economy . Therefore, “Take action on economy” is a indispensable issue to every government in nowadays . However, say is easier than be done . ECCT gives Taiwan many useful advices that it is needed to be concerned . I think the government should take some necessary policies to help our economy. For example , revitalizing consumption, creating more jobs, and strengthening competitiveness . We need some tactics to deal with the recession effectively , instead of just waiting for time to recover it.

The toughness of Taiwanese people is not to be mentioned . We should turn the bad effect to the good one as possible . For example , though we often be defeated by China in the international occasions , we should prove our abilities harder to let others know our unique value . In addition , not only the government but also the public should find out the best way to improve the economy development and work on together . As the proverb says,” The opportunity is remains for the person which prepares.”(205words)
